Mantoloking

Mantoloking is a Jersey Shore community situated on the Barnegat Peninsula; a long, narrow barrier island that separates Barnegat Bay from the Atlantic Ocean. The town is linked to the New Jersey-mainland via the Mantoloking Bridge. Mantoloking is home to the Olympic-champion producing Mantoloking Yacht Club. Many houses in Mantoloking are of Shingle style architecture and seashore colonial designs with cedar shakes and white trim; popular in places like Cape Cod, Nantucket, Martha's Vineyard and Newport.

The name Mantoloking is derived from the Unami language of the Lenni Lenape Native Americans who once inhabited New Jersey. Various meanings have been attributed to the community's name including "frog ground" or "sand place"

Mantoloking is one of the wealthiest community in the state of New Jersey and it was ranked by Forbes Magazine as the one of highest-income places in the United States.
